Plans to create a £100m gateway development into Newcastle city centre have taken a step forward with the submission of a planning application.
At the heart of the scheme are plans to restore and refurbish Worswick Chambers which could potentially be transformed into new bars/restaurants.
Worswick Chambers; Initially to provide planning assistance and advice for servicing routes and plant strategy for the existing and new build components of the scheme.
Scheme involves the refurbishment of a Grade 2 listed building and the construction of a new three storey food and beverage court tying in with the existing structure.
The scheme is currently at Stage 3 with the intention of commencing works early 2022.
