TGA Consulting Engineers have been successful in the bid to work with Darlington Council on the Darlington Railway Heritage Quarter project.
Working alongside Space Architects, TGA will be able to call on their vast listed building experience in addition to the museum and gallery expertise in developing the MEP Design information for the major scheme for the region. TGA also have recent heavy industry experience, including that gained from the nearby Newton Aycliffe assembly plant site for Hitachi Rail Europe.
The project will provide a unique visitor attraction that reveals the story of the Stockton to Darlington Railway. This scheme will form a key attraction along the 26 miles of the Stockton & Darlington Railway Heritage Action Zone and will play a key role in attracting visitors to the area.
The project is to be complete by 2025 – in time for the bicentenary celebrations.
