Reordering of Salford Cathedral

Projects

TGA have been appointed by the Diocese of Salford to work on their £6m Reordering of Salford Cathedral project. The project will include extensive replacement of roof finishes and a major ordering and representation of the interior which will restore the former ecclesiastical ambience including decorations to walls and ceilings. TGA have been challenged to design complete new building engineering services, including underfloor heating systems, which are able to maintain appropriate environmental conditions whilst minimising the use of energy and associated carbon emissions. The wider design team includes Purcell Architects and Thornton Firkin as cost consultants and principal designers.
