Service in the Spotlight – Specialist Lighting

TGA Specialist Lighting brings together a group of experienced lighting designers who are passionate about lighting and the built environment.

Our lighting designers have many years of collective experience working on a diverse range of projects including retail, office, residential, education, healthcare and urban lighting. We are equally comfortable discussing visual comfort, circadian cycles, focus and materials as we are calculating glare ratings, power loads or lux levels.

Lighting design is the union of technical expertise and artistic vision. It can influence health and wellbeing and help drive sustainability. At its best, lighting can transform a space adding a different layer of intrigue and interest. We focus our designs on the impact of lighting on the end user as a human being while making sure the technical aspects are working smoothly.

Everything TGA’s Specialist Lighting team offers across various project sectors can be found here – Specialist Lighting – tga (tgace.co.uk).

The Specialist Lighting team at TGA is led by Associate James Davison and he has given us the latest updates from the team below…

Any recently completed projects?

The Plotters’ Forest at Raby opened in 2022, with us revisiting in 2023 to complete improvements to the Bluetooth mesh. The entire Raby Rising project is also due to complete in spring this year with all at TGA really looking forward to seeing the end result of a fantastic project!

Visuals seem to have been a big part of TGA’s lighting work of late?

Lighting is a very visual medium and we’ve been producing some first-rate renders with our colleagues in BIMTS, from external lighting schemes to bespoke chandelier installations.
